Borussia Dortmund happy to let one star leave but determined to keep another

Borussia Dortmund must be getting sick of the transfer window.

The club have been able to produce some top talents over the last couple of years, which has seen a number of football clubs from around Europe take note and look to try and sign those names that have been creating headlines.

Any name that you want to pick from the BVB’s squad will have likely caught the attention of some, with Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho two of the biggest, whilst Jude Bellingham could be one in the very near future that is being linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park Stadion despite having only just arrived.

However, it seems Borussia Dortmund have a different stance on a couple of the players mentioned in regards to their possible transfer availability.

It has been claimed by a report in The Guardian that BVB could be prepared to let Sancho go if the offer is right, but are prepared to fight tooth and nail to keep Haaland in their yellow jersey for as long as possible.

Manchester United’s interest in Sancho does not appear to have dwindled from last summer when negotiations continued to happen but a breakthrough was unable to be achieved, whilst UEFA Champions League champions, Chelsea, are thought to be keen on the Norway international in an attempt to find themselves a prolific goalscorer.

Haaland is wanted by a number of teams, though, but after having managed to score 57 goals for BVB in the 17 months he has been with the team, it is no surprise the Bundesliga outfit want to keep him for a little longer. The fact that they managed to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition may have helped them, as well, whilst many will be using Max Free Bets if the striker remains as he is guaranteed to get goals for them.

Indeed, it is also claimed that Dortmund are holding out for a transfer fee of £150 million for Haaland, something Chelsea are not quite prepared to pay, especially given that wages and agent fees (Mino Raiola) could make the cost skyrocket to another level than it would already seem to be!

Tammy Abraham is thought to have been considered as a potential swap option, as well as cash, but the Bundesliga outfit are insisting on a straight fee and one that will likely break all kinds of transfer records.

It has been claimed that they are interested in Callum Hudson-Odoi – as are Bayern Munich once again – but their interest in the winger might be wasted as the England international is said to be happy at Stamford Bridge and is wanting to fight for his place in Thomas Tuchel’s team.
