Dortmund players see their values change with some more drastic than others

Although values are not everything in the world of football, they can sometimes be used as a rather good indicator as to how well things are going on the pitch for certain individuals. In fact, they could be considered to be on par with FIFA ratings.

Of course, Borussia Dortmund are actually enjoying themselves this season as they continue to challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title and are pushing their rivals as much as possible.

At this stage of the campaign, the BVB find themselves just one point behind Die Roten and will hope that they can continue their pursuit of the current champions for as long as possible.

In addition, their European adventure looks as though it will continue, with the Signal Iduna Park Stadion outfit sitting in a reasonable position within their UEFA Champions League group despite their earlier defeat to SS Lazio, thus providing some great news to those that follow Bundesliga Sport.

As mentioned, there have been a number of players to have received increases in their values – with men like Erling Braut Haaland having received some of the biggest increases.

The Norway international has been nothing but phenomenal during his 11-month stay with the BVB so far. The forward has managed to bag himself no fewer than 33 goals in his 31 matches for Borussia Dortmund since completing an £18 million switch in January.

However, according to TransferMarkt, he is now considered to be worth a huge £90 million. Admittedly, it would not be a surprise if a club were required to have to pay more than that, though, if they were to try and acquire his services for them.

Other individuals who saw their values increase exponentially include Jude Bellingham – who is now valued at £24.3 million – and Giovani Reyna as the United States of America international is considered to be worth £27 million, having previously been valued at around half of that figure.

Having turned 16, Youssoufa Moukoko has received his first rating and is already at a rather high £9 million, which is said to be the highest starting value for any youngster in Bundesliga history.

However, some individuals did see their market values decrease slightly, with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Thomas Meunier and Thorgan Hazard all appear to drop.

The England international – who was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for as long as the summer was around – saw his value drop to £90 million, whereas the Belgium international new-boy has gone down to £16.2 million.

Other established individuals such as Hazard (£28.8 million), Mats Hummels (£18 million) and Julian Brandt (£31.5 million) all suffered decreases, whilst individuals such Raphael Guerreiro and Manuel Akanji both saw increases following impressive starts to the 2020/21 Bundesliga season.
