Erling Haaland continues to hit the headlines

There does not appear to be a day where Erling Haaland does not appear to hit the headlines.

Naturally, the Norwegian will always hit the main sports pages of a website or a national newspaper because of his ability on the field and his latest accomplishment is one that has been recognised, as well.

The forward has been able to put the ball into the back of the net for fun ever since he rose to prominence and his ability certainly has not faltered whilst he has been at the Signal Iduna Park Stadion for Borussia Dortmund.

Of course, we are talking about the fact that he created Bundesliga history once again in the BVB’s comprehensive 3-1 victory against Wolfsburg over the weekend.

Haaland struck a brilliant volley with just 10 minutes to go to seal the points for his side, but in doing so, the youngster became the youngest player in German league history to score 50 goals.

Aged at just 21 years and 129 days, he scored his 50th Bundesliga goal in as many appearances.

The goal was his 10th in just seven games this season for the Black and Yellow, as he has had a season that has been disrupted through an injury to his hip and had to spend time playing at 888casinothailand.com to help pass the time at home.

If he had not been sidelined by the hip flexor muscle injury that he sustained in mid-October, then there is every reason to suggest that he would have been able to blitz the record weeks ago.

The win for Borussia Dortmund managed to turn a rather disappointing week around after they were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League following a 3-1 defeat to Sporting Lisbon.

The three points meant BVB were able to close the gap at the top of the Bundesliga league table to just one point, with FC Bayern Munich having been handed a shocking 2-1 defeat to their Bavarian rivals, FC Augsburg on Friday night.

Dortmund, now, has an opportunity to capitalise on their rivals disappointing defeat as the two sides will meet at the weekend when they play at Signal Iduna Park Stadion on Saturday.

However, with Die Roten seeking blood, the Black and Yellow are going to need Haaland to be on fire and be able to find the back of the net for fun once again if they are to take full advantage of the situation that has presented itself.
